Rachel Barnard

Young New Yorkers

Rachel Barnard is the Founder of Young New Yorkers, an arts diversion program for teens being prosecuted as adults in criminal courts. Barnard is working to bring people together to create new spaces of belonging and expand empathy while shifting cultures of exclusion. Barnard has served in the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs’ Public Artist in Residence Program and is working to create The Fair, a project focused on fostering transformational relationships between probation officers and clients.
