Noobtsaa Vang is the Founder and CEO of Foodhini, a Washington DC based company delivering authentic multicultural meals to doorsteps in the DC area that might not have otherwise have been accessible in the region. Noobtsaa, having been raised by an immigrant mother struggling to find stable employment in the US, was impassioned by his mother’s resolve to work as hard as she did yet provide delicious food that wasn’t readily available to eat here in the US. Through this passion, Foodhini was born. Foodhini’s mission is not only to offer the food to those who want it, but also to provide employment for immigrant and refugee communities. Many individuals in these communities face an uphill battle in maintaining a living wage in a country unfamiliar to their homeland, similar to Noobtsaa’s mother, but by working as chefs for Foodhini, they are given an opportunity to provide their unique culinary skills to empower them.
