Anke Van Dam is the Executive Director of the AFEW Network, an organization that promotes holistic public health practices through strengthening regional solidarity, sharing knowledge, and increasing access to prevention, treatment, and care for vulnerable groups. Anke, having started her career in medicine as a general practitioner in the Netherlands, provided medical care to in-need immigrants from Turkey and Morocco before transitioning towards training other health workers on the topic of sexual health. She translated her passion to AFEW in 2008 where she joined as Director of Programmes.
